Updates with Warranty Reactivation
Anytime we update one of our older products to current specification, the warranty reactivates.
The warranty covers everything on the product except tubes.
Upgrades and updates with warranty reactivation are available for older Atma-Sphere preamps (MP-1, MLS-1 and P-2) as well.
We support our older products; many of the updates available have been developed after the unit was superceded.

Update from Mk.3 amps to Mk.3.1 (for preamps see below)
Prices do not include shipping or cost of repairs due to age, damage or tampering. The updated
amplifier will meet the specs for the Mk3.1 amplifiers that we build now. A new warranty is
applied to all amplifiers that we update to the current level.

Updates from Mk. 2 to Mk3.1
Mk.3.1 improvements include increased bass authority, lower noise, smoother overall presentation, improved soundstage,
increased low level detail and enhanced tube life. These updates apply to all Atma-Sphere amplifiers built before November of 2004
(serial numbers 646 and earlier). Prices are maximums and may be less according to vintage of unit. Prices do not include
shipping. Prices do not includes cost of repairs due to damage or tampering. Autobias is standard. Amplifiers built during 2004 are
considerably less expensive then those built earlier. Following are the range of costs. The first figure is for a late
(2003-2004) model and the second is the maximum cost for an early model:

- MA-1 $1400.00 - $3300.00 (includes addition of V-Cap Teflon coupling capacitors)

Update path for MP-1 preamps to Mk3.1:
The new MP-1 MkIII was introduced in January of 2007. We developed a proprietory low
noise, high voltage regulator which is the best performing high voltage regulator in use in high end today. Accompaning the new
regulator design was an entirely new power supply circuit. We redesigned the line stage and phono sections, which resulted in lower
noise, higher gain in the phono (accompanied by greater transparency), with wider dynamic range in the line section.
The result was a transformation!
Now the Mk 3.1 builds on that with an improved volume control that is more transparent.We also made a few other changes
resulting in blacker backgrounds and better tube life. The state of art just got better!
The update from MkIII to Mk 3.1 depends largely on the volume control.
- With Caddock Volume option the update is $3200.00.
- Stock control is $900.00
For all older MP-1s (Mk 1 or Mk 2) this involves a complete rebuild of the power supply and head unit:
- redesigned preamp (phono/line) section boards
- new volume control
- newly redesigned power supply board
- new power transformers
- new filament regulators
- new high voltage regulation- the tightest regulation on the market.
- new umbilical cord
- Cost is roughly $7100.00 for Mk2s, about $7300 for Mk1s.
All MP-1s updated to Mk3.1 get a new warranty!
Our regulator system is also available as an upgrade for the MP-3 for $600. There are numerous updates
available for the MP-3 as well- some are quite inexpensive and have a dramatic effect.

The regulator update is also available for older MP-1s for $600.00 (as a replacement for the 6080 regulator tube). This update should
only be considered if for whatever reason an update to Mk.3.1 is not being done at this time.
